2022-23: Compiled a 20-7 record and an 11-4 mark in duals in his first season at 184 pounds … Started the season 9-1, which included a 5-0 record on his way to a Southern Scuffle title … Placed third at the Big 12 Championships with his only loss of the tournament coming in a 5-3 defeat to No. 4 Marcus Coleman of Iowa State … Earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships where he went 1-2 as the No. 10 seed … Recorded four major decisions on the season.

2021-22: Wrestled to a 9-7 record in an injury-plagued season … Started 7-1 with his loss being in the season opener to top-ranked Shane Griffith … Bounced back to defeat No. 21 Andrew Sparks and win four of the next seven matches by major decision … Kept matches close with No. 2 Keegan O’Toole of Missouri and No. 5 Alex Marinelli in early February, but was reinjured in the Bucknell dual that forced him to miss the final dual of the regular season … Went 0-2 at the Big 12 Championships that ended his season … Earned second team Academic All-Big 12 honors for the second time in his career.

2020-21: Continued his winning ways as a sophomore, posting a 22-3 record and 10-0 mark in duals … Entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 10 seed at 165 pounds … Defeated six ranked opponents on the season with his best win coming against No. 7 Ethan Smith of Ohio State in a 7-4 match at the NCAA Championships … Earned All-America honors for the second consecutive season as he placed fourth at 165 pounds in St. Louis … Opened the tournament with an impressive 8-1 win over Penn State’s Joe Lee … Also claimed wins against No. 25 Jake Tucker (MSU), No. 18 Izzak Olejnik (NIU) and No. 11 Cameron Amin (MICH) … Began the season 14-0 before suffering his first loss at the Big 12 tournament Luke Weber of North Dakota State who would go on to win the 165-pound title … Wittlake placed third at the conference tournament … Was explosive on offense all season as he was second on the team with 84 takedowns and collected 10 bonus-point wins: five major decisions, four tech falls and one pin … Was ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation at one point during the season by Intermat.

2019-20: Went 28-2 in his first season in the starting lineup at 165 pounds… Compiled a 15-1 dual record with his only loss coming in a 3-2 match against No. 2 Alex Marinelli of Iowa… Led the team in overall wins as well as dual wins…Also led the team with 44 takedowns in dual matches… Went 5-2 against ranked opponents on the year with his highest win coming against No. 8 Thomas Bullard at the Southern Scuffle… Finished the season undefeated against conference opponents… Three of his four wins at the OCU Open to begin the season came with bonus-points en route to taking first place… Got all the way up to No. 6 in the Intermat rankings during the season… Picked up 11 bonus-point wins on the season – five tech falls, four major decisions and two falls… Went undefeated in the Big 12 tournament and claimed his first Big 12 title… Was the No. 4 seed heading into his first NCAA Championships… Excelled in the classroom as well receiving second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors… Was recognized as a first-team NWCA All-American for his performance on the mat.

2018-19 (Redshirt Year): Competed for the Cowboys exclusively in open tournaments at 174 pounds where he compiled a 16-2 overall record… Went 5-0 at the OCU Open to start the year, claiming two major decisions and two technical falls en route to his first collegiate tournament title… Claimed top honors at the Lindenwood Open as well, with three bonus-point wins at the event… Took first place at the Bob Smith Open, where he notched his first career fall in 3:59… Also competed at the Reno Tournament of Champions where he went 2-2 and picked up a technical fall and major decision in the first and second rounds.

High School: Compiled a 196-2 record at Marshfield High School in Oregon ... Won four Oregon state championships wrestling for his father, Travis Wittake Sr. ... Was a four-time All-American ... Two-time Oregon Wrestler of the Year and Oregon Nike Athlete of the Year ... Took first in Greco and third in freestyle at Fargo in 2015 ... Completed a first-place sweet at Fargo in Greco, freestyle and folkstyle in 2016 ... Took third at 2016 Cadet World Championships ... Finished fifth in freestyle at Fargo in 2018 ... Was a two-time United World Wrestling Cadent national champion in Akron (2016 and 2017) ... Took third at UWW Junior Nationals in 2018.
