Woman from Chris Rock’s ‘Good Hair’ angry over Oscars joke: ‘Shame on you’

A woman, who starred in a 2009 documentary focusing on the lives of women with alopecia — funded by Chris Rock himself — is angry with the comedian for the joke that resulted in a slap from Will Smith.

Moments after the comic made the “G.I. Jane” joke, a clip surfaced from Rock’s 2009 documentary “Good Hair” showing the comedian with interior designer Sheila Bridges, 57, who details her struggles with alopecia, reported the Los Angeles Times.

The clip shows Chris Rock sitting next to Bridges, who talks about how she never felt the need to wear a wig after losing her hair.

“I chose not to wear a wig for a number of reasons. It’s this feeling about somehow hiding and I never wanted to feel as if I was hiding something,” Bridges said in the interview.

“I wanted to deal with sort of accepting who you are and looking in the mirror and looking as though you’re beautiful,” she continued.

Bridges posted the clip to Instagram on Tuesday in support of Jada Pinkett Smith while slamming Rock for forgetting the conversation and being insensitive.

“While I do not condone violence (or what Will Smith did), I am not completely surprised that Chris Rock got rocked by Will Smith after making the medical condition of @jadapinkettsmith part of his comedic schtick — disrespecting her publicly,” Bridges wrote on Instagram.

“Shame on you @chrisrock. Didn’t we sit down and talk at length about how painfully humiliating and difficult it is to navigate life as a bald woman in a society that is hair obsessed? As if life isn’t challenging enough out here as an unprotected black woman?”

Smith, 53, apologized to Rock on Monday for his “unacceptable and inexcusable” behavior.
