Rachel Bush, wife of Bills star, rips ‘BS’ overtime rules after crushing loss

Add Rachel Bush’s name to the growing list of folks blasting the NFL’s overtime rules following Sunday’s epic showdown between the Chiefs and Bills.

Bush, the wife of Bills star safety Jordan Poyer, ripped the league’s polarizing rules on Twitter after Buffalo’s crushing 42-36 AFC Divisional Round loss to Kansas City in overtime.

“BS. Should’ve won that game, played with so much heart,” Bush tweeted Sunday night. Those OT rules are so stupid.”

In a separate tweet, Bush added, “Bruh I didn’t suffer through panic attacks the whole damn game for it to end like that friggn A f that damn coin toss.”

After Kansas City’s Harrison Butker nailed a 49-yard field goal to tie the game as time expired in regulation, the Chiefs were awarded the ball first in overtime since the Bills lost the coin toss. If the team that touches the ball first scores a touchdown, game over. Which is exactly what happened on Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes threw a touchdown pass to Travis Kelce on the first drive of overtime.

“The rules are what they are, and I can’t complain about that because if it was the other way around, we’d be celebrating, too,” Bills quarterback Josh Allen said postgame.

Despite Sunday’s heartbreaking end, Bush praised the “impressive” Bills and noted the team has “a lot to look forward to.”

“I feel for you bills fans, we love you. To have a game be played so well and still not the outcome we hoped for. Super disappointing. On a positive note this is a very impressive team and you guys have a lot to look forward to,” she tweeted.

Bush isn’t the only Bills WAG who called out the rules after Sunday’s loss. Hillary Trubusky, the wife of Bills backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky, shared a tweet on her Instagram Story from SB Nation that read, “That was an incredible game, but it’s still ridiculous that the Bills don’t even get a chance because they lost the coin toss.”

With the Chiefs set to face the Bengals in what will be Kansas City’s fourth straight AFC Championship appearance, Bush is throwing her support behind Cincinnati.

“Y’all have my support the rest of the playoffs now don’t disappoint me,” she wrote in an Instagram Story.

The Chiefs will play host to the Bengals next Sunday.
