Day Camp for High Schoolers Interested in Nursing

The WVU School of Nursing will be hosting its second Day Camp on Saturday, June 1, 2024, for high school students who are interested in exploring nursing as a career. During the free one-day event, students can experience what it’s like to be a nursing student by participating in an information session, a mock lecture and hands-on learning opportunities at the WV Simulation Training and Education for Patient Safety (STEPS) Center.

The focus of West Virginia University School of Nursing's research is reducing health disparities among rural Appalachians. It is through this ongoing work with adults, families, and communities that WVU's nurse researchers are positively impacting the health of West Virginians.
