NEVADA
SENIOR (2018) – Named an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention and shared the team’s Outstanding Defensive Player award with teammate Asauni Rufus … Finished the season fifth on the team with 60 tackles, ranking him ninth in Nevada history with 293 for his career … Started and played in all 12 games in 2018 … His 187-career solo tackles ranked 13th in the FBS following the 2018 season … His best game of the year came against Boise State, when he recorded six tackles and two interceptions … Finished the regular season leading Nevada with three picks, totaling 12 for his career … Ranked second in the FBS in career interceptions at 12 and tied for third with two return touchdowns … Totaled five passes defensed and one forced fumble … Tallied six tackles in the 2018 Arizona Bowl victory and two TFL … Was named preseason All-Mountain West by Athlon Sports, Phil Steele and College Football News … Steele ranked Baber as the 13th-best free safety prior to the season.

SOPHOMORE (2016) - Finished the season with 74 tackles, 52 solo … Ranked in the top five in the nation with three recovered fumbles … Set a career high with two recovered fumbles at Purdue on Sept. 24 … Tied his career high in two games, forcing a fumble against Cal Poly on Sept. 2 and Fresno State on Oct. 8 … Recorded his season-high nine tackles twice, at New Mexico on Nov. 5 and at San Diego State on Nov. 12 … Broke up three passes during the season … Started the season receiving All-Mountain West honors from the conference (Preseason All-Conference Team), Sporting News, Lindy's Sports, Athlon Sports and Phil Steele … Started in all 12 games … Named Nevada’s defensive player of the week following the win over Cal Poly … Letter winner.
 
FRESHMAN (2015) - Earned second team All-Mountain West honors … After missing the first three games of the season to redshirt, started in each of the final 10 games at free safety … Posted 65 tackles, six interceptions, eight passes defended and 0.5 TFL in the regular season … Ranked fourth in the nation in interceptions per game with .60 per contest ... His six interceptions ranked second in the Mountain West and tied for seventh in the FBS … Became the first player to intercept six passes in a season at Nevada since Joe Garcia in 2006 … Co-winner of Nevada’s Newcomer of the Year Award … Tallied two interceptions and 10 tackles in his first career start in Nevada’s win at Buffalo, earning MW Defensive Player of the Week honors … Matched a MW record with three interceptions in Nevada’s win at Fresno State, becoming the ninth player in MW history to intercept three passes in a single game while earning MW Defensive Player of the Week honors … His three interceptions at Fresno State were the most interceptions in a single game for Nevada since Greg Grouwinkel picked off four passes against Portland State on Sept. 28, 1974 … Also recorded an interception against UNLV … Tallied a season-high 10 tackles in a win at Buffalo and an overtime win against San Jose State … Ranked fourth on the team in tackles (58) in the regular season despite missing the first three games of the season … Was the only freshman in FBS with at least six interceptions on the year … Was one of three freshmen to be named to the All-MW first or second team … Tallied seven tackles in the Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl victory over Colorado State … One of three true freshmen on the team to see playing time … Letter winner … 2015 Academic All-Mountain West.
