Doggie Dates & Rovernights

Have you ever thought how fun it would be to take a shelter dog out for a few hours to go on a hike, sit on a patio, bask in the sunshine together, or even have a sleepover?

We’ve turned your thoughts into reality… with Doggie Dates & Rovernights – a program that allows the public to take a dog (1 year or older) out of the shelter and into the Davidson County community!

The sometimes overwhelming shelter environment can be stressful to our residents, and this is the perfect opportunity for them to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate. Our hope is that this also draws attention to a dog from potential adopters – and maybe a match will be made right there and then!

Want to take it a step further and have a sleepover with a shelter dog? Our Rovernight program allows you to host a dog in your home overnight. The dogs welcome this break with open paws and would love to Netflix and snuggle with you. These opportunities not only provide relaxation for both you and the dog, but it’s also a great way to learn more about the dog’s personalities and quirks. And no pressure, but who knows, you might just have a Rovernight guest you can’t live without!
