Hofstra Law's Monroe H. Freedman Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics presents

The Next 50: Looking To the Future of Criminal Justice Ethics

Monday, November 16 | 6-8 p.m. ET | Held via Zoom

The need for change in state and federal criminal justice systems is a front burner issue across the county. Prosecutors' charging decisions, requests for bail, sentencing recommendations, racial disparity, funding for defenders, and duty to address wrongful convictions, are among the myriad of concerns. Some of these issues are reflected in ethics rules about the conduct of prosecutors and defenders, but the ethics rules are limited. What should criminal justice ethics reformers do to promote to greater fairness in our systems?

Join us for an engaging discussion among the country’s most knowledgeable criminal justice reformers and ethicists.

Registrants will be emailed a link to the Zoom session the morning of the event.
