Choose Respect: Let's Talk Consent
December 14, 2021 (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
Choose Respect will host a sexual assault prevention virtual event for MCPS students in grades 8-12 on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 7-9 p.m. This virtual advocacy experience will include partners from Victim Assistance/Sexual Assault Program (VASAP), Montgomery County Police Department, and Family Justice Center. Students may earn 2.5 SSL hours for attending this event and participating in follow-up advocacy action.
Students, please DO NOT respond to this opportunity. All MCPS students may participate and earn SSL hours by following the directions below:

MCPS students must RSVP to receive the direct Zoom webinar link: https://bit.ly/consentsignup

Only students who register and participate in the live virtual event will have the opportunity to complete the follow-up advocacy action through a Google Form to earn 2.5 SSL hours. Students will be provided a link to the SSL Google Form at the end of the virtual event.

After the event, students must submit thoughtful responses to the SSL Google form provided at the conclusion of the event. To be eligible for SSL hours, all responses must be submitted by 5 p.m. on December 15, 2021.

MCPS students must be logged into their MCPS student accounts to access the Google Form.

Students do not need to submit a separate MCPS SSL Activity Verification Form for this specific opportunity.

The MCPS SSL team in central office will review student responses and enter SSL hours into student records by January 7, 2022.
