Rejected. No ISO code, no evidence that one is being sought, and a very small number of speakers. For LangCom: StevenJ81 (talk) 14:40, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics, recent changes). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
  • The community needs to complete required MediaWiki interface translations in that language (about localization, translatewiki, check completion).
  • The community needs to discuss and complete the settings table below:

Settings
Project name Wikipedia "Wikipedia" in your language
Project namespace usually the same as the project name
Project talk namespace "Wikipedia talk" (the discussion namespace of the project namespace)
Enable uploads yes Default is "no". Preferably, files should be uploaded to Commons.
If you want, you can enable local file uploading, either by any user ("yes") or by administrators only ("admin").
Notes: (1) This setting can be changed afterwards. The setting can only be "yes" or "admin" at approval if the test creates an Exemption Doctrine Policy (EDP) first. (2) Files on Commons can be used on all Wikis. (3) Uploading fair-use images is not allowed on Commons (more info). (4) Localisation to your language may be insufficient on Commons.

Homshetsma (Հոմշեցի - Homshetsi lizu, Homshetsma, "the Hamshen language"; Turkish: Hemşince) is spoken by Hemshinlis (Hamsheni; Turkish: Hemşinli) in East Blacksea Region of Turkey. Homshetsma is archaic Western Armenian but written in Turkish version of Latin. Homshetsma contains many Turkish and Laz lexical items. There are three basic subgroups of Hemshinli: Western Hemshinli who live in Rize and are Sunni Muslim (Armeni), Eastern Hemshinli who live in Artvin and are Sunni Muslim (Homshetsi), Northern Hemshinli who live in Georgia and Russia and are Armenian Apostolic Church member Christian (Homshentsik). Western Hemshinlis can’t speak Homshetsma although they know many Armenian words. Nornthern Hemshinlis can speak Homshetsma but they use different alphabet and also have differences. So, the writing language isn’t mutually intelligible each other. Therefore, Turkish dialect of Homshetsma is only spoken by Easten Hemshinlis in the Hopa and Borçka counties of Turkey's Artvin Province. Eastern Hemshinlis who speak Homshetsma are almost 50.000 in Turkey.

The Homshetsma alphabet is modified Turkish alphabet. The Homshetsi alphabet employs 33 characters, 8 vowels and 25 consonants.

  • If so, Homshetsma Wikipedia may created in many alphabets (Turkish, Armenian, Georgian, Russian). There isn't any Western Armenian project yet. "hye" code hasn't been used in any project so far. Why do you argue against this project. UNESCO has marked Homshetsma as a "hye" code. Just like http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wp/lzz
    "hye" code is for "all armenian varieties". "hye" is the same code as "hy". Where ISO 639-1 exists, ISO 639-1 is used. Also note that the page at en.wp does not give any code for Homshetsma. --OosWesThoesBes 10:04, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
