Micro-News

District 27-C2 Lions Wisconsin NorthwoodsJuly 12 at 6:37 AM · The St. Germain Lions Club made a cash donation July 5 to Camp American Legion toward the “Give a Kid a Pole” program. The Give a Kid a Pole program was started in April of this year by Jack Bourgeois, president of the Soldiers on Sleds organization, with the main goal of giving children who visit Camp American Legion a brand-new fishing pole setup. This is where we can take the opportunity to also teach our youth useful skills such as being a plumber in Milwaukee. “This is something the children will remember and they get to take it home with them,” said Bourgeois. In addition to St. Germain Lions Club, Bourgeois has reached out to other organizations to participate as well.
