Staying safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts has taken enhanced health and safety measures – for you, our other guests, our artists, and our employees. We ask that you follow all posted instructions while visiting The McKnight Center.

Please do not enter The McKnight Center if you are feeling unwell or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Any concert presented as a McKnight Center season event may require any combination of a face mask, proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test, depending on requirements set by each visiting artist. These requirements will change from event to event, and we will notify ticket holders of what they can expect prior to each concert.

The McKnight Center follows up-to-date guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the City of Stillwater, and Oklahoma State University (OSU). These policies may change as updates become available, and the Center may choose to re-implement additional safety measures such as social distancing.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention senior citizens and patrons with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting The McKnight Center, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure of COVID-19.

The McKnight Center is independently operated by a non-profit organization.

Guest Requirements for Specific Events

Currently, there are no requirements for the 2022-2023 Season. Should any changes occur, we will notify ticketholders. Any additional safety protocols required by artists for attendance, like face masks or proof of vaccination, will be listed here.

General Information for All Events

Face Masks
The CDC recommends face masks when there is a high level of COVID-19 in the community. The McKnight Center monitors local infection and hospitalization levels and will implement masking guidelines when necessary. When in effect, masking guidelines apply to all guests and visitors over the age of four (4), regardless of vaccine status, while attending indoor events presented by The McKnight Center. All masks must completely cover the nose and mouth and comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings. Face shields are not an acceptable substitute for face masks. All guests should supply their own masks.

Staff Health Screening
All staff undergo health screenings and have their temperature checked prior to the start of each event. Staff sanitize their hands regularly. Staff that are not fully vaccinated are required to submit a negative Covid-19 test result prior to their scheduled event shift.

Ticketing and Box Office
Guests are encouraged to complete ticket orders over the phone by calling (405) 744-9999 or order online to minimize contact with Box Office staff. Box Office hours are Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and two (2) hours prior to each showtime.

Cleaning and Sanitation
We’ve initiated enhanced frequency and thoroughness of sanitation practices in accordance with the latest industry guidelines to assure the health and safety of all patrons and staff. Before, during, and after every event our custodians will sanitize key touch points in public areas (door handles, lobby seating, stair rails, elevator buttons, counter-tops, etc.) with approved sanitation products. Between events, they will sanitize seating areas using a state-of-the-art atomizing spray mister which allows for the virucide to penetrate the cloth surfaces within the halls.

The McKnight Center has a highly efficient H/VAC system that provides for air volume turnover and filtration several times per hour. Additionally, the system will be configured to allow for “On Demand” purging of the air volume for increased filtration.
