Job Description:

The Social Work Department at McDaniel College invites applications for a full-time, one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Social Work to begin August 2023.

Duties: The teaching load is 3 courses per semester.  The successful candidate for this position will teach courses in our Human Behavior and the Social Environment sequence.  Depending on the candidate's background, the teaching assignment may also include one or more of the following: Research Methods in Social Work; Quantitative Data Analysis in Social Work; or a social work elective in the candidate's area of expertise. 


Requirements:

  • Required: MSW Degree from an accredited social work program
  • Preferred: Ph.D. or ABD in Social Work
  • Preferred: Experience teaching undergraduate social work courses
  • Preferred: Experience and/or interest in curriculum development

Candidates must comply with all related federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to, FERPA and Title IX.
