The “Introduction to Cybersecurity Careers Webinar” presents a targeted overview of one of the most critical emerging career fields in the 21st century. This CTE Professional Development webinar will present opportunities for participants to:  

1. Gain an understanding of the rapid growth of employment in Cybersecurity across the labor market spectrum.

 2. Review multiple educational and work-based learning cybersecurity career pathways options. 

 3. Learn strategies for addressing access and equity issues in recruitment and retention of students in cybersecurity programs.

The LACOE "CTE Introduction to Cybersecurity Careers" webinar will focus on the following "Key Elements of High-Quality CTE Programs"

  • Element One: Leadership at all Levels
  • Element Four: Student Support and Student Leadership Development
  • Element Eight: System Responsiveness to Changing Economic Demands
