You have numerous options to register for and receive your COVID-19 vaccine. Get vaccinated as soon as you’re eligible.

The Colorado Vaccine Distribution Plan is now in Phase 1B.4.

Phase 1B.4 includes:
  • People age 50 and older
  • Frontline workers, including those in higher education
  • People with high-risk health conditions
  • All eligible individuals in Phases 1A, 1B.1, 1B.2, and 1B.3
Earlier this week, we shared information about making a vaccine appointment through Optum.

Centura Health and the Broadmoor World Arena are providing one of six community vaccination sites statewide. It is the only one in El Paso County and will eventually administer up to 6,000 vaccines per day. Register to receive your vaccine by visiting Centura Health or by calling 866-414-1562. The clinics started earlier this week.

UCHealth is partnering with CC to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to employees eligible under the current phase, 1B.4, of the state’s vaccine distribution plan. View the detailed instructions below.

Processes
There are two processes outlined below: 1) Registering through the patient portal (My Health Connection) and 2) Scheduling vaccinations. You need to complete both in order to receive your vaccination with UCHealth.

Register through the patient portal (My Health Connection)
  • Visit the My Health Connection sign-in page. Either sign in to your existing My Health Connection account or create a new account. If you already have an account, use that one — do not set up another account. This will cause duplicate records and will likely cause delays in scheduling.
  • Once you have signed in, confirm that you are associated with Colorado College.
  • After completing the sign-in process, you are registered and associated with CC. Remember, even if you have an existing My Health Connection account, you need to use the link and process above to sign in and be associated with Colorado College for the COVID-19 vaccine.
  • Please note: Registering does not mean that you will immediately receive an invitation to schedule your vaccine.

Schedule vaccinations
  • When UCHealth begins sending notifications, all scheduling activities will be initiated through the My Health Connection account; closely monitor your account for any notifications.
  • You’ll be notified via the email address you used to set up your My Health Connection account or cell phone if you indicated you’d like to receive messages in this manner.
  • You will have 48 hours to act on the scheduling invitation. The link to schedule is valid for only 48 hours from the time it is sent.
  • You should not cancel your appointment outside of the 48 hours from invitation being sent. You will not be able to reschedule an appointment after this 48-hour window has passed.
  • If you’re not prepared to receive a vaccination at this time, do not register (step 1) until you’re prepared to schedule a vaccination.
  • To schedule a vaccine appointment, log in to your My Health Connection account, go to the Messages section, and click on the message titled “Schedule your COVID-19 vaccination.” (see attached tip sheet)
  • Within this message, there will be a link that states “Click here to schedule your COVID-19 vaccine.” By clicking on the invitation link, you will be able to review available vaccine clinic times and locations and can schedule appointments for both your first and second dose of the vaccine. You may need to change the default search date to find an appointment at your preferred location.
  • All the available dates and times are only viewable through My Health Connection. You may need to choose an alternate location or day in order to find an open slot.
  • Prior to your vaccination appointment and before you arrive at the vaccine clinic site, you will need to go into your appointments via My Health Connection and echeck in to sign the necessary consents and expedite the check-in process.
  • You’ll receive appointment reminders to the email address and/or cell phone number linked to your My Health Connection account.
Vaccine appointments will be done at random for CC employees so not all employees will receive vaccine appointment notifications at the same time. As a result of the limited vaccine supply, there could be a significant amount of time between when you create an account and when you receive a scheduling invitation.
