Thank you for joining us on our mission to Latvia!

Dear partner in ministry, thank you for signing up for our newsletter! We are currently in the network-building phase of our missionary service. Perhaps you are receiving this because of a presentation we have given or because you have chosen to support this work through Mission Central or the Missouri Synod.

We are pleased to have you with us on this journey and to keep you up to date with the wonderful things God is doing and will do. Be on the lookout for other monthly newsletters from us in the near future!

As we progress through this phase of our service, we realize that many of you will be people we have never actually met, but we would love to see that change! We would be delighted to hear from and about you as we move forward in this together.

In Christ’s service,

Rev. Dr. Quintin, Lindsay, and Carter Cundiff

Who are the Cundiffs?

We are preparing to serve in Riga, Latvia, where Quintin will be teaching at the Luther Academy of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia, an LCMS partner church. He will also assist in the pastoral formation of ministry candidates who come from around Eurasia to attend the academy. Quintin hopes to be involved in the start of an English-language worship service in Riga for expats and English speakers.

Quintin is a native of Oberlin, Kansas. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska; a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri; and soon will be awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. During his 10-year career, he has served congregations in Oregon, New Mexico, and Nebraska. He assisted with planting St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and served as the pastoral counselor for the LCMS Rocky Mountain District's Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Lindsay grew up in Farnhamville, Iowa. She has earned a diploma of Practical Nursing from Hamilton College in Lincoln, Nebraska, and an associate degree in nursing from Central Community College in Kearney, Nebraska. In her nearly 15 years of nursing, Lindsay has cared for patients in Missouri, Iowa, Oregon, New Mexico, and Nebraska. At church, she has served as a Sunday school teacher, a parish nurse, a newsletter editor, and a directory coordinator, among other things!

Quintin and Lindsay will have their 10-year-old son, Carter, along for the journey. He will be attending the International School of Riga. He loves Jesus, reading, history, movies, video games, science fiction, and hanging out with friends.

PLEASE PRAY FOR:

•Luther Academy in Riga, Latvia, that it may continue to prosper.
•The saints in Latvia and the rest of Eurasia, that they may continue in steadfast faith.
•Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst, Nebraska, that they have only a brief vacancy, and that they would joyfully receive a new pastor soon.
•Our family, as we continue our trek across the United States in preparation for our move to Latvia.

PRAISE GOD FOR:

•The resurgence of Lutheranism in Eurasia, and those men preparing to shepherd new flocks there.
•Prayers, encouragement, and support of our missionaries across the world by people like you!
Prayerfully consider partnering with the LCMS to support the work of Quintin Cundiff and his family. Make checks payable to:
