This summit provides a unique opportunity for energy companies and other partners to:
- Increase awareness and understanding of the economic and ecosystem benefits of Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM)
- Garner support and build recognition across both internal and external stakeholder platforms for vegetation management (VM) best management practices (BMPs)
- Discuss and initiate development of strategies and metrics to promote and incorporate IVM BMPs into corporate responsibilities and environmental sustainability initiatives
- Share and leverage VM best management practices around land use, biodiversity, pollinator habitat, and conservation goals with the ROW industry and general public
What to Expect:
- Hear the latest Penn State University research findings on how vegetation management practices impact plant and animal communities
- Learn more about the latest industry trends from industry leaders and influencers related to VM practices and ESG Reporting, communicating with key stakeholders to create buy-in, peer-to-peer learning, and network with peers from industry-leading companies
- Participate in a field tour of the longest continuously running rights-of-way research project (more than 65+ years) and interact with the field researchers
