This site is for the online application and management of the Public Assistance (PA) grant. Public Assistance (PA) is a federal grant program to aid State and local governments in returning a disaster area to pre-disaster conditions. A minimum of 75% of eligible costs is provided to primarily address the repair and restoration of public facilities, infrastructure, or services which have been damaged or destroyed. Eligible applicants include local and Tribal governments as well as certain Private Non-Profit organizations.

COVID-19 Public Assistance Project Closeout Submission Deadlines On March 27, 2024, FEMA extended the May 6, 2024 closeout submission deadline for all COVID-19 project worksheets (PWs). The new PW deadlines are detailed in the table below:

Apr 1, 2024 - Sub-Recipients Are No Longer Require to Submit Quarterly Reports for LAPA/GOHSEP Grants

In a direct effort to reduce the administrative burden to sub-recipients of FEMA Public Assistance, Hazard Mitigation Assistance and Non-Disaster grants, GOHSEP is hereby directing that effective immediately, sub-recipients are no longer required to submit quarterly reports.

Jan 29, 2024 - State Approved Blanket Extensions on Permanent Work for Hurricane Ida and Hurricane Laura

FEMA-4611-DR-LA (Hurricane Ida) was declared on August 29, 2021. In accordance with 44 CFR § 206.204, the grantee may extend the deadline an additional 6 months for emergency work and an additional 30 months for permanent work due to extenuating circumstances.
