If you need to change the PSU contact information, please submit changes in this FORM as soon as possible to ensure precise communication. Please also inform your Infinite Campus Project Manager of any changes or additional contacts.

SIS Speak

Explore Infinite Campus Terminology:

Chatter: The area in the Infinite Campus Implementation Dashboard where you can communicate with your Infinite Campus Implementation Team.
Learning Tools: Outside programs that provide learning materials or content. These tools can be accessed through the Learning Tools list, or teachers can create links between specific learning tools and individual assignments, depending on district setup.
Teaching Center: Can be selected as the Home page for teachers in account settings and serves as a hub for a variety of teacher tasks such as adding assignments and taking attendance.

Implementation Essentials

Be prepared! If you haven't had your initial implementation meeting with Infinite Campus, gather the following required information:

Names of the PSU Implementation Team Members
All School Calendars for the 24-25 year
Grading Information- Grading Scales (Traditional/Standard) & Reporting Term Information
3rd Party Vendor Information- Names & Purpose

Next Steps: If you have had your initial meeting with Infinite Campus, remember to log into the Implementation Dashboard and check for any tasks that need to be completed such as:

Activate Campus Passport by clicking “Campus Passport”
Bookmark important sites for future use
Upload requested documents to the task: Discovery Documents-
PSUs will provide the information below to Infinite Campus:
- Sample of Progress Report
- Sample of Report Card
- Sample of student schedules
- Bell Schedules per School
- Next Years School Calendar with Events

DPI will provide the information below to Infinite Campus:
- Graduation Requirements
- Attendance Codes/Names
- Behavior Event Codes/Names
- Behavior Resolution Codes/Names
- List of Credit Types Offered
- Score Groups
- Sample of Transcript

*Your Infinite Campus Implementation Specialist will assist you with these tasks.

Conversion Tips & Data Clean-up

Data Conversion Process-

DPI will provide extracts from the current SIS- will have the information to convert such as Calendar name.
- Delivered through EMFTS- when ready
PSUs will review extracts, do data validation, upload data into the dashboard if it is correct, work with your Infinite Campus Implementation Team on your progress.

Please review the data items below that are recommended for clean-up prior to the Infinite Campus Implementation:

Addresses - Audit student and contact addresses to make sure they match exactly. From a school level, audit siblings to ensure that their home addresses match if in the same household.

Contacts - Consolidate duplicates. Ensure that relationships are accurate.

Master Schedule - Middle & High schools should follow a scheduling plan to create & commit a master schedule in PowerScheduler before EOY. Elementary schools can copy their master schedules to 24-25 in PowerScheduler and then roster their students in Infinite Campus.

Historical Data - If you rely on PowerSchool for data that is over 7 years old, start thinking about what you will need to export and store locally.

NCSIS Data Manager Regional Roadshow

We are excited to announce locations for one day NCSIS Data Manager Regional Roadshow training sessions. These sessions will be offered across our state to train our SIS powered by Infinite Campus with a crosswalk experience for PSUs. Please see the session information and link to register below.

April 19th | 9:30 am - 3:30 pm | Harnett County Schools (Session is FULL)
April 22nd | 9:30 am - 3:30 pm | Burke County Schools
April 26th | 9:30 am - 3:30 pm | Rowan County Schools

NCBOLD 2024 NCSIS Training for New Data Managers, Administrators, & Directors

We will offer “New Data Manager Training” for Infinite Campus and PowerSchool users as well as sessions for Administrators and Directors. The sessions will cover General Navigation, Admission/Withdrawal, Attendance, Grading, Crosswalk with new SIS and State Reporting processes. We will have recommended tracks for participants to follow. We are solidifying locations for the summer now.

Week 1: July 15th- 18th (West)
Week 2: July 22nd-25th (East)

Registration is coming in late April/early May.

NCBOLD Infinite Campus Gradebook Training for Teachers by Teachers

We will offer “Infinite Campus Gradebook Training” for teachers. These sessions will be led by teachers and will cover gradebook setup, assignments and scoring, quizzes, progress monitoring, engagement check-ins, as well as the Learning Management System.

Week 1: July 15th - 18th (West)
Week 2: July 22nd - 25th (East)

EOY Update

PSUs will plan when to commit their master schedules with their Infinite Campus implementation manager to be ready for their production site. The earlier you start, the earlier access to your production site.
EOY will be June 28th for all Phase I and Phase II PSUs
No early EOY, early commitment of master schedules only
Post EOY- PSUs will have to reload Enrollments, Rosters, and Transcripts

Clarifying Points

Emergency Contacts will convert to Infinite Campus
ECATS data will be uploaded to Infinite Campus- there is no charge to PSUs
PSUs can continue to use Canvas
Schoolnet & NCEES will continue to be used
Please discuss 3rd Party applications with your Infinite Campus Implementation Team to verify integrations. *The sex offender registry is not included in Infinite Campus.

NCSIS Resources

Phase I participants will gain access to the Campus Community, where they can acquire product knowledge, glean tips and tricks, and engage in networking opportunities with other districts. The Campus Community offers convenient single sign-on access from the Campus system to a wealth of resources including the knowledge base, forum discussions, learning tools, support site, upcoming events, and more.

Campus Community- contains the information you need to learn how to use Infinite Campus through product documentation, videos & simulations, study guides, forums, and much more. Whether you are a teacher, data manager, or Infinite Campus user, you will find the learning resources in a clearly defined pathway for a seamless transition from PowerSchool.

Campus Passport- is on-demand, self-paced courses that can be assigned to new and existing staff. Accessed through the Campus Community, you will find Instructor-Led Training, specific E-Learning courses, or select a learning plan based on your district role.
