NCTIES -  Now that you have received your NCSIS Implementation Team and Implementation Plan information, please join the NCDPI team for a collaborative session where we will cover the hot topics you want addressed to include a crosswalk of the current SIS to Infinite Campus and recommended video training plans tailored for SIS users based on roles designed to facilitate a smooth transition to the new NCSIS system.

SIS Admin Training “Mastering Campus” - Free 5 day SIS Admin Training. This training is for your main point of contact for the SIS who works in the SIS daily.

NCSIS Data Manager Regional Roadshow 

We are excited to announce locations for one day NCSIS Data Manager Regional Roadshow training sessions. These sessions will be offered across our state to train our SIS powered by Infinite Campus with a crosswalk experience for PSUs.  Please see the session information and link to register below.

NCBOLD 2024 NCSIS Training for New Data Managers, Administrators, & Directors

We will offer “New Data Manager Training” for Infinite Campus and PowerSchool users as well as sessions for Administrators and Directors. The sessions will cover General Navigation, Admission/Withdrawal, Attendance, Grading, Crosswalk with new SIS and State Reporting processes.  We will have recommended tracks for participants to follow.  We are solidifying locations for the summer now. 

• Week 1: July 15th- 18th (West)
• Week 2: July 22nd-25th (East)

Registration is coming in late April/early May.

NCBOLD Infinite Campus Gradebook Training for Teachers by Teachers

We will offer “Infinite Campus Gradebook Training” for teachers. These sessions will be led by teachers and will cover gradebook setup, assignments and scoring, quizzes, progress monitoring, engagement check-ins, as well as the Learning Management System.

• Week 1: July 15th - 18th (West)
• Week 2: July 22nd - 25th (East)

Several of you have asked for more information about Infinite Campus LMS, Learning Management System Webinar.  We heard from over 50 PSUs with a list of what you wanted to see in this option.  Infinite Campus has personalized this webinar to meet your needs. Explore Infinite Campus Terminology:

• Training Site: Identified by an orange banner, this site allows users to practice Infinite Campus processes without real data.
• Sandbox: Also featuring an orange banner, the Sandbox is a replica of the PSU's production site, offering users a space for practical exercises. Any practice data/information entered in the sandbox site will be overwritten when the sandbox is refreshed.
• Production Site: Distinguished by a green banner, the Production Site represents the live side of Infinite Campus.

Conversion Tips & Data Clean-up

Please review the data items below that are recommended for clean-up prior to the Infinite Campus Implementation: 

Addresses - Audit student and contact addresses to make sure they match exactly.  From a school level, audit siblings to ensure that their home addresses match if in the same household.

Contacts - Consolidate duplicates. Ensure that relationships are accurate.

Master Schedule - Middle & High schools should follow a scheduling plan to create & commit a master schedule in PowerScheduler before EOY.  Elementary schools can copy their master schedules and roster their students in Infinite Campus.

Historical Data - If you rely on PowerSchool for data that is over 7 years old, start thinking about what you will need to export and store locally.

NCSIS Resources

Phase I participants will gain access to the Campus Community, where they can acquire product knowledge, glean tips and tricks, and engage in networking opportunities with other districts. The Campus Community offers convenient single sign-on access from the Campus system to a wealth of resources including the knowledge base, forum discussions, learning tools, support site, upcoming events, and more.

Campus Community contains the information you need to learn how to use Infinite Campus through product documentation, videos & simulations, study guides, forums, and much more. Whether you are a teacher, data manager, or Infinite Campus user, you will find the learning resources in a clearly defined pathway for a seamless transition from PowerSchool. 

Campus Passport is on-demand, self-paced courses that can be assigned to new and existing staff. Accessed through the Campus Community, you will find Instructor-Led Training, specific E-Learning courses, or select a learning plan based on your district role.
