It’s humanly impossible, but the caravan will reach the U.S. border before Election Day: Bank on it

The question of who was funding the migrant caravan was raised here several days. It was noted that each migrant’s passage can cost as much as $7,000 and that the per capita income in Honduras is $2,300.

As to who could be bankrolling the venture, a likely answer that has been bandied about is far-left billionaire George Soros, who is reportedly funding a smartphone app to help illegal aliens avoid federal immigration authorities.

But for all his money, not even George Soros can alter the time-space continuum. That is what would need to happen in order for the thousands of migrants en route to the southern border to arrive no later than Nov. 6, the date of the midterm elections. Ideally, they would need to start showing up sooner in order to give the Trump administration time to act (to process “families” at the border) and Democrats a chance to react (oh, the humanity!). The chances of a single migrant getting here in time to accomplish that mission is virtually impossible.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Consider, there are 16 days, including today, until Election Day. Actor James Woods crunches the numbers in a pair of tweets. In the first tweet, he notes that it 2,000 miles from Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Phoenix, Ariz. (Actually, the distance to Phoenix is 2,550 miles, but the Texas border is 2,000 miles from Tegucigalpa.)

In the second, he observes that the caravan, which is on foot, would have to cover 20 miles a day every day, without stopping to rest or eat, to reach the U.S. in 100 days.

Yet, something tells me that the group will magically appear well in advance of Nov. 6.
