CIC Ideation Session

Ideation Sessions: April 15 and April 18 at 4:00pm | MU Horizon Room

Sparked by the conversations around the research that may be enabled by the infrastructure and space in the CIC, and further fueled by work in the Research Office to stand up programs that help faculty increase the impact of their research, we invite you to participate in an Ideation Session on April 15 and April 18 from 4:00-5:00 pm on how OSU research can contribute to Solutions to the World’s Pressing Problems. The session will be held in the MU Horizon Room, with a reception following the session. Due to interest, a second ideation session has been added and will be held on April 18 from 4:00-5:00 pm in the MU Horizon Room.

  • We invite individuals or teams of researchers to give short presentations on collaborative research at OSU ongoing at any campus or location, involving researchers from multiple colleges or centers/institutes, with results that can be brought to bear in solving some of humanity’s biggest challenges. Such "solution hubs" might have an amplified impact on solving challenges through collaboration with diverse stakeholders, such as through innovation and entrepreneurship, partnerships with public agencies at various levels or the private sector, or engagement with communities.
  • Researchers who already have assembled a team and are making progress towards bringing their research to bear on pressing problems are encouraged to participate, as are researchers who are interested in finding research collaborators across campus to take the next step of creating broader societal impact.
