Oregon State University community members,
I am pleased to share with you Information Technology Strategic Plan 2023, Oregon State University’s strategic plan for information technology across the university.
The plan is the result of 12 months of intensive and collaborative work of stakeholders and centralized and decentralized IT partners throughout OSU. We will begin implementing the plan immediately, at a time when change in the nature and scope of technology in higher education is accelerating to adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan directly aligns with SP 4.0 and advances our broader university goals.
Successful implementation of IT Strategic Plan 2023 will benefit every member of the Oregon State University community, by streamlining remote teaching and working, providing better designed and more efficient technology supporting research and business needs, facilitating collaboration and mutual support among IT units at every level, and advancing inclusivity, accessibility, diversity, and equity goals in our IT community and broadly at OSU.
You will find the background on the IT strategic planning process and implementation roadmap here. I invite you to review the strategies and actions and engage with the Oregon State University IT community as we implement.
I want to thank Andrea Ballinger, Vice Provost for University Information and Technology and OSU’s Chief Information Officer, for her leadership of this effort, as well as every member of the OSU community who participated in the development of the plan. We have demonstrated impressive agility in shifting to highly remote activity and even heavier reliance on information technology during this pandemic. This plan will help us build on that success and deliver our mission in research, teaching, Extension and engagement to even higher impact as we emerge from the crisis.
