Made 23 appearances all out of the bullpen … Finished the year with 6.34 ERA, which continued to drop after a rough start to the season … Posted a 3-0 record on the season … Struck out 23 batters in 32.2 innings pitched, while surrendering just seven walks … Pitched a season-high 4.0 innings in a victory over Sam Houston allowing just one run on three hits, while striking out one.

2021 (COVID Junior):
Made 16 appearances, including one start … Posted a 2-1 record with a 3.14 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP … Allowed 12 runs – 10 earned – on 32 hits in 28.2 innings pitched … Recorded 14 punchouts and eight walks on the season … Pitched two innings of one-hit baseball to pick up a victory against Stephen F. Austin … Also pitched two innings of scoreless baseball at Southern … Pitched 3.1 innings in the second game of a doubleheader at UIW to pick up the win as the Cardinals made their push toward the SLC tournament … Mize held the Southland’s other Cardinals scoreless on four hits to get the win … Pitched three innings of no-hit baseball with two strikeouts in the second game of a doubleheader against Nicholls … Followed that up with two scoreless frames against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi … Also recorded two Ks in a scoreless frame at Northwestern State.

2020 (Junior - Season Shortened by COVID 19):
Appeared in nine games for Lamar, all in relief ... Finished with a 1-2 record and a 3.21 ERA through 14.0 innings of work ... He struck out nine while allowing 13 hits, three walks, and five earned runs ... Pitched a career-best 2.0 innings four times ... Finished second in the SLC and 33rd overall in total appearances (nine) ... Led his team in games in relief (nine)
