USF Softball’s Corrick Selected in 2022 Athletes Unlimited Softball College Draft
TAMPA, May 4, 2022 – University of South Florida senior pitcher
Georgina Corrick invited to compete in Athletes Unlimited Softball with the third pick of the 2022 Athletes Unlimited Softball Draft. Corrick is now able to compete in the league for at AUX Softball, a tournament that runs from June 13-25, and the Athletes Unlimited Championship Season, which is in competition from July 29-Aug. 28.
Corrick, a two-time All-American and three-time American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, is now slated to be the 17
th student-athlete from USF softball to compete in a professional softball league.

The fifth-year senior has had incredible success over her collegiate career. The 2018 AAC Rookie of the Year, Corrick quickly made a name for herself, becoming the first freshman to throw a no-hitter at USF since 1996 and was a NFCA All-Region First Team selection in her first season.
In 2019, she continued to grow, being named an NFCA Second Team All-American and earning her second AAC Pitcher of the Year honors after being selected as the conference's pitcher of the week six times during the season. She was also named to the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top 26 Finalist after going 25-6 with a 1.14 ERA and 260 strikeouts.
Even in a COVID-shortened 2020, she put up phenomenal numbers. Finishing with a 12-3 record, she tossed a 1.29 ERA and 127 strikeouts while being named the AAC Pitcher of the Week three times and the NFCA National Pitcher of the week once.
In 2021, Corrick was named an All-American for a second time for the second time in her career and was the NCAA statistical champion with 15 shutouts during the season, once again being named the AAC Pitcher of the Year.
This year, Corrick has thrown a 0.44 ERA with 357 strikeouts in 238 innings pitched and the season isn't even over year. She currently has a 31-5 record and leads the NCAA in multiple categories and is in the top 25 for nearly every pitching category. On Wednesday, she was named a Top 10 Finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, the first time she had made it past the Top 25 list.
Overall, Corrick sits with a 107-32 record, 1,241 strikeouts, 52 shutouts, and a .159 opposing batting average.

Athletes Unlimited is a new organization that sponsors professional leagues in softball, basketball, volleyball and lacrosse. There are no team owners, and league investors are capping their returns. Athletes share in the league profits and are involved in the daily decision making.
Instead of traditional teams, players switch teams every week of the season through a draft. The top four players who earned the most points each week become captains for the next week and get to select their teams for the following week. Players can earn points based on both their team and individual performances. The champion is the player with the most points at the end of the season.
