MSU Denver Open Textbook Workshop Faculty Application
MSU Denver is sponsoring an Open Textbook workshop.

When:   Friday, April 5th from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm (lunch will be provided)
Location: SSB 215

MSU Denver faculty are invited to apply by April 1st at 5:00 pm.  Capacity is limited and open textbooks are not available for all subjects. Preference will be based on textbook subject area availability.

After the workshop, participants will be asked to write a short review of an open textbook. Your review will benefit other faculty considering open textbooks.

If selected, you will receive a $200 stipend for your participation and written review.

Please identify an Open Textbook from the Open Textbook Library at open.umn.edu.  If you need help or have questions about selecting a book, please contact Emily Ragan at eragan@msudenver.edu or Sarah Cohen from the Open Textbook Network at sfcohen@umn.edu.  If an open textbook is not available for your course/discipline, you are welcome to attend the workshop but will not be eligible for a stipend.

Additional Information:
The Open Textbook workshop is a member benefit of MSU Denver's membership in the Open Textbook Network, an alliance of schools committed to access, affordability, and student academic success through the use of open textbooks. The workshop will be run by Ms. Merinda McLure and Dr. Joe Nowakowski from the Open Textbook Network. The deadline for faculty reviews is Friday, May 24th.
