As A Junior (2022)
Started all 64 games at shortstop • Named second team All-ACC by the conference’s 15 head coaches • Voted to the ACC Baseball Championship all-tournament team • Posted career-highs in batting average (.365), runs (56), hits (96), home runs (10), RBIs (54), total bases (149), slugging percentage (.567) and on-base percentage (.437) • Led the Diamond Heels in hitting and on-base percentage, while ranking second on the team in slugging percentage, hits, doubles, triples (3) and total bases • Finished second in the conference in hits, ninth in doubles, 10th in hitting and 16th in total bases • Hit .393 during conference play with an on-base percentage of .490, ranking fourth in both categories in ACC games • Collected 48 hits during league play, tied for second-most in the ACC • Posted a 26-game hitting streak from April 2 – May 20 • Hit .408 (42-for-103) with five home runs and 30 RBIs in the final 24 games of the season • Batted .455 (30-for-66) in 16 games in May with 19 RBIs and an OPS of 1.127 • Registered 30 multi-hit and 17 multi-RBI games • Reached base safely in 33 consecutive games from April – June • Became the 10th player in program history to register 50 career doubles • Collected a season-best four hits on opening day against Seton Hall, including a home run in his first at-bat • Went 7-for-12 with seven runs and five RBIs in the Georgia Tech series • Hit a grand slam in game two of the Florida State series • Batted .375 with a home run, two doubles and seven RBIs at the ACC Baseball Championship • Had an RBI in nine consecutive games (May 19 – June 4) • Named to the ACC All-Academic Team. 

As A Redshirt Sophomore (2021)
Competed as a sophomore in 2021 after he received a waiver from the NCAA with the previous season’s cancellation due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic • Started all 55 games at shortstop • Batted .249 with nine home runs and 39 RBIs • Posted an on-base percentage of .332 and slugging percentage of .488 • Led the Tar Heels in RBIs, doubles (18), triples (3), total bases (104) and at-bats (213) • Ranked fourth in the ACC in doubles, fifth in triples and 12th in at-bats • Led the team with 11 multi-RBI games • Compiled 15 multi-hit games • Longest hitting streak of the year was nine games • Went 5-for-11 with four RBIs, two doubles and a triple during the Clemson series • Was 5-for-13 in three games against Boston College with seven RBIs, two home runs and a triple • Drove in a season-high five runs in the series opener against BC • Collected seven hits against Duke, going 3-for-4 in game two and 3-for-5 in the series finale with two doubles in each game of those games • Finished the series against the Blue Devils hitting .538 (7-for-13) with six RBIs, five doubles, five runs scored and a home run •  Had five hits, two doubles and a triple in the Georgia Tech series • Collected a season-high four hits against NC State in the ACC Tournament, going for 4-for-5 at the plate with an RBI and run scored • Hit safely nine of the final 10 games of the season, going 16-for-45 (.355) with nine RBIs, four doubles, two home runs and one triple • Raised his season batting average by 31 points in the final 10 games.

As A Sophomore (2020)
Started all 19 games of the season at shortstop • Scored 19 runs on 19 hits • Recorded seven RBIs • Finished the season with a .250 batting average •  Season-long hit streak to open the year from 2/14-22 • Hit two doubles, one against Iowa and one against VCU • Ended with a .970 fielding percentage • Helped turned nine double plays • Registered four multi-hit games • Recorded 22 putouts on the season.

As A Freshman (2019)
Switch-hitting shortstop started 60 of the 61 games in which he played •  Second on the team with a .299 batting average and 18 doubles and tied for second in hits (69) • First-team Freshman All-America by Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game and second-team by D1 Baseball • Earned ACC All-Freshman team and ACC All-Tournament team honors • First true freshman under Mike Fox to have five or more hits twice and the first Tar Heel in any class to do that since Dustin Ackley in 2009 • Became the first Tar Heel to have a six-RBI game since Colin Moran in 2013 • Went 5 for 5 with four RBI, three doubles and two runs at Georgia Tech on 4/6 • Season-long eight-game hit streak from 4/6-16 • Had 16 multi-hit games.

High School
Attended Governor Livingston • Ranked No. 2 shortstop and No. 15 player in New Jersey by Perfect Game • Helped lead Governor Livingston to the state championship in 2015 and county championship in 2016 and 2018 • Union County All-Conference and all-area selection in 2017 & 2018 • Batted .455 his senior year with 11 home runs • 2018 Perfect Game Preseason Northeast All-Region second team • Coached by Chris Root at Governor Livingston.

Full name is Daniel Phillip Serretti • Son of  Jenn and Dan Serretti • Born on May 7, 2000 • Plays the guitar and trumpet • His dad won gymnastics youth national championships in 1982 and 1983 • Member of the Math Honors, Athletic Honors and Spanish Honors Societies at Governor Livingston.
