Operation Underground Railroad (OUR) has been at the forefront of rescuing children from the harrowing clutches of human trafficking across Mexico-U.S bordering states. According to Human Trafficking Courts, the Dallas-Fort Worth region accounts for 35% of the state's commercial sexual exploitation cases even though they only have 26% of the state's entire populationThrough a dedicated fundraiser on GoFundMe, OUR, who operates as a 501c3, seeks to provide these young survivors with the crucial support they need to recover from the profound trauma they have endured. The funds generated through this campaign will be instrumental in offering comprehensive aftercare services, including therapy and counseling, educational support, and medical assistance, tailored to help these children rebuild their lives.

The trauma experienced by trafficked children is multifaceted, often encompassing physical, emotional, and psychological scars. Operation Underground Railroad recognizes the importance of addressing these complex needs. The resources generated from the GoFundMe fundraiser will enable OUR to offer specialized therapy sessions designed to help these children heal from their traumatic experiences. This is accomplished by taking donated money and using it to buy school supplies, pay for therapeutic dog training worth $50, and $200 is enough to pay for a home for 10 individuals. This therapeutic intervention can provide them with a safe space to process their emotions, regain their self-esteem, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Our goal is to achieve 500 dollars in donations. The money will go to various recovery programs including therapy, whether it be physical, mental or emotional. Therapy will be our highest priority entering this campaign. Lastly, the need for kids to be brought back up to speed with their education is vital. Money will also fund the education of these kids who are coming out of those difficult times, so they can gather the materials needed for their future.
