Help Adults with Blindness and Sight Loss

Tax deductible

Donny was an adult with full sight who was working full time. One night he went home and an intruder shot him in the head resulting in him losing his sight. In one moment, Donny's life completely changed.

Soon after, Donny arrived at the Hull Foundation and Learning Center (HFLC) for a series of three-day in depth sight loss workshops. An HFLC staff member remembers Donny’s fear and uncertainty about being able to make his bed or perform other daily tasks those fully sighted may not even think about. Through the support and information provided at the workshops, and the continued connection with HFLC retreats, programs and services, Donny is now an active and independent individual and recently enjoyed kayaking at a HFLC retreat. Donnie’s life is one of many lives improved by our Foundation.

Donnie is not alone. We were there to assist Donny and many others when they unexpectedly needed help. Our introduction to daily living skills and the resources available to someone like Donny allows them to realize that their lives as they knew them, are not ending, just changing.

Would you join us today to make a difference in the lives of adults with sight loss and blindness by donating to our campaign. The Hull Foundation and Learning Center provides Zoom workshops, Peer to Peer Support calls, and overnight seminars. We need your financial support to continue these important, life-changing services.

Your donation towards our $30,000 goal, allows us to provide these services. You are also helping us maintain the dormitory, lodge, kitchen and other facilities at our 23-acre Oral Hull Park in Sandy, Oregon. It provides the space for our events that serve our adults with blindness and sight loss. We are entering our 60th year of service in 2022 and keeping the repairs and maintenance in place to welcome our guests to programs and services has a significant impact on the welcoming environment we provide.

The Hull Foundation has been providing meaningful services for nearly 60 years. We are a non-profit 501c3 corporation with a limited paid staff. We do not receive government funding to support our programs or services.
