Paws Need Homes: Support Operation Kindness

In 2022 alone, BestFriends.org reported that 68,945 dogs and cats were killed in animal shelters across Texas. Our campaign aims to help provide for as many sheltered animals as possible to avoid euthanization. Unfortunately, many shelters in North Texas are either at or over capacity, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic when people decided they did not want their pets anymore. Because of this, shelters need people to adopt more due to the excess of animals being surrendered. In 2021, 2% more animals entered shelters than left and in 2022, that number doubled to 4%. Our goal is to raise $1000 which will cover the adoption fees of roughly 10 animals, including the first round of vaccinations, microchipping, and the spaying or neutering surgery before adoption.

We are partnering with one of the leading no-kill shelters in North Texas, Operation Kindness. This 501(c)3 is located in Carrollton, Texas, with over 150 cats and dogs waiting to find their forever homes.

According to the ASCPA, approximately 6.3 million animals enter U.S animal shelters every year, of those 6.3 million animals approximately 900,000 are euthanized. This is due to animal shelters constantly being full and not having adequate resources to care for the increase in animals. Join us in making a positive change in the lives of these homeless animals.
