Doctor explains the omicron COVID-19 variant

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A new COVID-19 variant is causing concern as the holiday season ramps up.

The omicron variant is spreading through at least 20 countries throughout the world.

Although we have not seen it in the United States yet, doctors say it is just a matter of time.

Dr. Christopher Thompson, associate professor of biology and immunologist at Loyola University Maryland, joins the morning show to discuss the risks this new variant poses.
