Teen Counselors are role models who help supervise campers and provide for their safety and well-being. Counselors will supervise campers during activities, assemblies, in cabins or lodges, and in classes. Teen counselors work with adult volunteers and Virginia Cooperative Extension staff and are under the direction of the Extension 4-H Agent. Requirements 15 years or older by June 1, 2024Attend at least 24 hours worth of training. Trainings dates and times to be determined later. The expectation is that you will make every effort to attend all trainings. Must be: mature, responsible, dependable, respectful, work well with others, have a positive attitude, and be a good role model. Camp Counselor Fee to be determined. Payable before camp.
