Do you believe that some students may not attempt a difficult assignment because they know they will receive 40% if they do not turn it in? *

The KCPS late work policy states, "students will receive a grade equal to at least 50% of the grade the student would have originally earned if the assignment was turned in on the actual due date."

For students turning in late work, do you believe the option of turning in an assignment for 50% or not turning in an assignment for 40% has an effect on the student's motivation to participate and learn?
