Woodlin International Spring Fair Survey
Please join us for The Woodlin International Spring Fair!

This year, we're merging the former International Night with the Spring Fair for one amazing celebration of all the beautiful diversity represented at Woodlin. We have over 30 countries represented at our school!

Date: Saturday, May 14th (rain date Sunday, May 15th)
Time: 1pm - 4:30 pm
Location: 5701 Grosvenor Lane, Bethesda MD 20814
Parking: Street Parking

A note about participation: We wish to engage in cultural appreciation of our Woodlin families in whatever ways are meaningful for you. There is no pressure to participate or perform unless students and families are inspired to do so. Whether you choose to share or to spectate, we want this to be a comfortable and joyous event for all participants.

If the PTA provided it, would you take a free shuttle bus from the Summit Hills Apartments or the 8600 16th Street Apartments to get to the International Spring Fair? *
Are you interested in bringing food from your family culture or your family's international favorites to share? We will have tables with safe and sanitary foods from around the world for kids and families to sample. *
Would your children be interested in participating in a traditional attire parade? Kids and/or families would wear traditional clothes from different cultures and walk in a quick parade at the fair. *
Would your children or your family be interested in participating in a cultural talent show where they would sing a song, play an instrument, or do a dance representative of your family culture or a culture that is meaningful to your family? *
Would your family be interested in sharing a cultural item with the community at the Fair? You'd bring an item along with a short written description and we'd display them on tables for families to view during the fair. For example I might bring a pair of Irish Dancing hard shoes made in Ireland with 99 tiny nails in the toes. I'd write a short description of the item, telling where it was made, why it has the nails, and a little about the cultural significance of Irish Dancing. Please note, if you are going to leave your item unattended, it should not be fragile or breakable. It should be something that can be handled by elementary school children. You are welcome to stay with your item and present it in person as well. *
Would you like to bring a bag of candy from a different country for the International Candy Table? Kids will get to choose a few pieces each at the fair. *
