Future Faculty Pathways Program

The Oregon State University Pre-Doctoral Scholars Program is now the OSU Future Faculty Pathways Program! We look forward to welcoming our 2024 Future Faculty scholars to OSU for a unique opportunity for mentorship and networking. Please read more about this impactful program for scholars committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and interested in an academic career.

About the Program

The Future Faculty Pathways Program is a collaboration between the Office of the Provost, Office of Faculty Affairs, the Office of Institutional Diversity and the OSU’s eleven colleges to introduce talented doctoral scholars, committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in higher education, to Oregon State University.

This immersive 3-day experience pairs selected scholars with experienced OSU faculty facilitating a unique opportunity for mentorship and networking as scholars prepare for the next steps in their careers. In addition, participants will receive an introduction to OSU’s distinguished research and teaching, and have the opportunity to share and collaborate with fellow Future Faculty scholars. Experiences could include:

  • Participating in mentoring opportunities with internationally recognized OSU faculty and researchers aligned with a scholar’s research.
  • Learning tips and strategies for a successful academic career from seasoned faculty.
  • Gaining insight into high-impact teaching and mentoring methods.
  • Exploring state-of-the-art labs and research facilities.
  • Sharing research with key OSU leaders and scholars.
  • Engaging with groups and offices that support a scholar’s life inside and outside the academy.
