Plastic Pollution jacob norris

Should we be concerned about the plastic pollution crisis in our oceans?

The Ocean Pollution is a serious threat to the Ocean Society. It damages everything from seabirds to coral reefs and can especially impact the zooplankton and phytoplankton that make up the bottom of the food chain.

Could we end plastic production entirely? Can society survive without any plastic at all?

Yes it is possible to live without plastic, though this might be difficult at first. As you know we use gallons of plastic every day in our every day lives. To get what we want We can get our own containers for milk, honey and more, like in the past. Buy veggies by weight in a single bag, instead of individual plastic ones. Ask for tap water while eating out.

Who is responsible for plastic pollution? The individuals that buy it or the companies that make it? And why?

Humans invented plastic, but we should still stop itThere are three parties that bear this responsibility. Governments that can make and enforce rules, companies that produce or use plastics, and consumers. Each party has its own responsibility.

What are some of the ways that you could reduce your use of single-use plastic?
