CLARKSTON, MI - This was one of those two for the price of one concerts as not one, but two headliners came to town.

Barenaked Ladies and a reunited Hootie and The Blowfished performed to a jam-packed DTE on Friday, August 16, 2019.

Here's a quick recap of the concert along with the setlists, tour merchandise and fan reactions.

This was one of the biggest crowds we've ever seen there. Bob Seger's final concert at DTE earlier this summer may be the biggest, but this was close.

This picture was taken while Barenaked Ladies were performing about 45 minutes before Hootie took the stage.

As you can see, it's a sea of humanity with zero open spots on the lawn to be found.

Canadian rockers Barenaked Ladies are very popular in Michigan, as you saw by the crowd photo. And they put on another fun performance.

They took the stage right at 7:30 p.m. and performed 12 songs, plus a montage of hits for their finale, in about an hour.

They always make sure to tell the crowd two things when they play here: How much they love DTE, err, Pine Knob and that Big Beaver is their favorite road name in the world.

The group played mostly hits and had some playful moments with the crowd, at one point introducing Sarah McLachlan and fooling even the least gullible people.

Later on, they turned Pine Knob into "Bob Seger Place." "Just the road isn't enough (reference to DTE's address now officially Bob Seger Dr.)"

"Bob Seger is my go-to for karaoke," as Ed Robertson went into "Like A Rock." Other band members took turns doing parts of Seger songs with "Still The Same" and "Against The Wind."

Another cool moment, when they brought out a young girl who they said was the founder of a project aimed to "shadow stereotypes and forge a new normal for girls." She couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 years old and brought the crowd to their feet as she danced to "The Big Bang Theory" theme with crazy good martial arts skills.

Barenaked Ladies will continue to draw big crowds each time they come to Pine Knob if they continue to play their hits and play to the locals.

It's been a while since Hootie and The Blowfish toured together. They had so much good chemistry on this night, it's as if they never stopped touring.

They took the stage at 9:00 p.m. and performed 23 songs in about an hour and 45 minutes.

Darius Rucker's voice sounds exactly as it did over 25 years ago on the album  "Cracked Rear View." What a treat to hear him live with his old band mates.

"It's been so long since we've been back here so it means so much to see you guys out here tonight," said guitarist Mark Bryan.

"We've been playing this place for 25 years. It's DTE and I know all that, but I'm drinking this to Pine Knob," said Rucker as he took a shot of something strong.

Along with the hits, they played a few covers, including R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion" and brought back Barenaked Ladies for a sweet cover of "With a Little Help From My Friends."

A huge night of music in front of a huge crowd. Welcome back Hootie.
