Special Family Story Time: Irish Music, Culture & Fun with Goitse

Join us for a very special Family Story Time with the award-winning Irish quintet, Goitse.  Enjoy an engaging and family-friendly morning that explores traditional Irish songs, instruments, and culture. Learn about traditional tunes and instruments with Ireland’s very best! This workshop is presented by the Performing Arts Series at the University of Nevada, Reno. Goitse will also perform for the Performing Arts Series on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:30 pm. More information at www.unr.edu/pas.

Goitse (pronounced Go-wit-cha) is an informal Gaelic Irish greeting meaning ‘come here." The popular and multi-award-winning quintet Goitse was forged in the white-hot creative crucible of Limerick’s Irish World Academy. Named Live Ireland’s “Traditional Group of the Year”, Chicago Irish American News’ “Group of the Year”, as well as winning the prestigious “Freiburger International Leiter 2016” award in Germany, Goitse has become a leader of the new generation of traditional Irish ensembles.

This event will take the place of our regularly-scheduled Preschool Story Time.

Registration is required. Please register for each person of any age attending the event.
