The Camping World Kickoff featuring Miami vs. Florida, in Orlando, Fla., has been moved to Saturday, Aug. 24, up one week from its original scheduled date of Saturday, Aug. 31. The now-Week 0 contest will be played at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, and help highlight a tent pole day of College Football 150 themed programming on ESPN, which includes the Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff featuring Youngstown State and Samford at 3 p.m., as well as ESPN’s opening College Football 150 documentary, Football is US: The College Game. A specific programming schedule will be announced in the coming months.

“We appreciate both universities’ eagerness to participate in a special CFB150 kickoff game as well as the assistance of our partners at Florida Citrus Sports, the NCAA and CFB150, Inc., to make the change of date happen,” said ESPN Senior Vice President of College Sport Programming & Events Pete Derzis. “With a combined eight national championships and an in-state rivalry dating back to 1938, the matchup epitomizes the tradition and fervor of college football and its fans. We look forward to the Gators-Hurricanes 56th all-time meeting helping launch the start of a special season across the sport.”

ESPN’s multiplatform College Football 150 initiative began in early January and will continue with multiple digital initiatives through the year. Starting August 17, ESPN’s linear rollout will include two documentaries, two weekly docuseries and the selection of the 150 greatest games, teams, coaches, and players. The initiative will culminate with the selection of college football’s all-time All-America team surrounding the College Football Playoff National Championship in January 2020.
