FSAP offers book club focused on mental wellness, personal development

Books

Join the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program Support Squad biweekly book club to connect and share insight with colleagues while exploring some of the most thought-provoking literature on self-help and personal growth.

The sessions will kick off with “Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?” by Julie Smith from noon to 1 p.m. March 12 on Zoom. The book is perfect for anyone looking to manage stress, lift their mood or gain a deeper understanding of themselves.

Smith is a clinical psychologist who shares a wealth of relatable stories and easy-to-digest concepts, providing practical tips to help us navigate life’s challenges.

How to prepare:

• Grab a copy of “Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?” and read the first chapter before our first meeting.

• Bring your thoughts, questions and insights to the session.

• Be ready to engage with fellow squad members in a meaningful conversation.

What to expect from the group:

• Engaging discussions on mental wellness and personal development,

• A supportive environment to share and reflect on personal experiences,

• Biweekly sessions that fit conveniently into your lunch hour.

We are excited to kick off this journey with faculty and staff and can’t wait to see the self-growth we will achieve together.

Happy reading, and hope to see you on March 12.
