Celebrate Black History Month, attend screening of new documentary ‘The Loyola Project’ in Gluck Theatre

The Loyola Project

In celebration of Black History Month, WVU is one of 63 universities selected to screen the documentary film “The Loyola Project,” which is presented by Northwestern Mutual and features the Loyola Ramblers of Chicago who broke racial barriers and changed college basketball forever.

The Office of Student Success will host this screening Thursday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Mountainlair’s Gluck Theatre.

Nearly 60 years later, this legendary team is reexamined by Loyola basketball player and co-captain Lucas Williamson. Woven together with archival footage and modern-day interviews, this captivating story continues to provide inspiration in the fight for equality.
