Fire at New Hartford Barber Co

On August 10th, 2021 at 3 am I got devastating news that the building my barbershop is in was on fire. It feels like a nightmare. So many people have lost their homes, everything they own. I am grateful that I can go home at the end of the day but many people can’t tonight. We will be looking for a new place to call home very soon, but the wound is fresh. My heart aches. Our shop fish Klaus made it out safely, as well as everyone else in the building and that is all that matters. I will be posting updates as soon as I get them. It was a total loss except for a few plants and decorations in the window, so I’ll be starting fresh. I’m going to miss this beautiful place I called mine for the last 9 months. So many laughs and great conversations were held here. I’ve met so many amazing people in this community and I am forever grateful for every single one of you and your outpouring love and support. I wouldn’t be here without any of you! Insurance will be covering costs eventually but right now I have to re order all of my tools and some things to get me back going as soon as possible.

 Any money that I don’t use towards rebuilding my business will be donated to the rest of the families and people who lived in this building. My heart breaks for everyone involved.
