While this book can be read alone, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't read the series as a series from book 1. Golden Angel doesn't disappoint with this book either. She blends her style of wit and humour with a steamy, sensual story. I just love this author and will continue to read her books as she just weaves a wonderful story around a great group of characters. If I could I would give this series 11 out of 10.

This is the only book in the Stronghold Doms series that I've read, so my review will be based on the standalone reading of it. I loved it! It was fun, it was funny, the dialogue was good, it moved along at a good pace, the characters were interesting. I can easily see myself going back & reading the rest of the series. No doubt if you had followed the series, there would be "value added" for you & at times I did struggle a little trying to fit the relationships together. but overall, well worth the read.

Wow to see these two finally get together. To plot through their quirks that at the beginning kept them apart, to finally coming together hotter than ever. This was a great read and I loved it. He met her family with his conceived idea of what a family was like based on his. Not understanding her attitude at first till he saw it first hand. Loved all the family friends there for them offering advise and support. This series has been awesome. Would recommend reading the whole series to anyone.
Narration was awesome too.

Jake and Sharon are the only single members of their group. It is midnight New Year's Eve, and they decide to kiss which then leads to a night at Jake's place which is to be a one and done. It does not end up that way. Both are attracted and keep coming back. They try to keep it a secret, but the group is questioning them about it. When Sharon needs a date for a cousin's wedding, things come to a head. Will this wedding make or break them? Can they survive the wedding together?

I enjoyed this book. It was hot and graphic which I liked. Jake may have believed himself vanilla, but he was into kink which Patrick helpfully points out to him. I liked when Olivia and Michael show Jake different ways to look at Sharon's behavior which cause Jake to stop and question his take on her behavior. They have their fights which cause problems, but I liked that both were able to apologize and move on.

I found this story the most light-hearted of all because of what Jake discovers about Sharon and about himself. It was fun.

I've written sad as the headline because the series is finished and it's like losing friends. I became so intrenched in the lives of the people in the series I really didn't want it to end. I loved the way the people you met in book 1 were carried on throughout so you could still keep in touch, although they are stand alone book you really do want to read all of them. The joy of friendship and love comes through in every book, the sort of thing we're all looking for.
Well done Golden Angel, but please how about a follow up so we can see what happens in the long run? One of the best reads ever, cannot recommend highly enough,

I started reading from the first book just about 5 or 6 weeks ago. I know some people might have finished these 8 books a lot faster than I did. But I also read another 8 or 9 books at the same time. I loved how GA was able spin a tale that encapsulated a whole world that had me invested in each and every one of their stories. Yes, these are about BDSM but there's actually big parts where it's just like any other book you would read. The only thing I would ding the books for is editing. There were grammar errors but most people will overlook them. I highly recommend this series.

Love this frenemy story plot, you could read as a stand alone but reading from the beginning gives more satisfaction and better understanding of the whole group and the environment to cause the relationship. This is one of my fav series and gives a more realist take on the BDSM and/or if you are into it or not … it is ok and not abnormal because you can always find someone that just right for you … each other.
