Country Home Elevator & Stairlift founder/owner Craig Jones tells ELEVATOR WORLD his company’s newest location at 1904 East 123rd Street in Olathe, Kansas, is set to open. Country Home, headquartered in Brighton, Missouri, at the foot of the Ozarks, was founded in 1998, opening its second location in Rogers, Arkansas, a few years later. Located in a lake home, that location includes both a three-story elevator and small offices from which Jones works when he is in Arkansas. Country Home has been in the Kansas City area market since 1990 and initially showcased its elevators in subdivisions’ model homes. To accommodate growth, Jones recently bought a small, single story building in Olathe that he and architect Wolfgang Trost converted into a two-story office that features an elevator in a glass shaft. “By bringing the elevator tower to the front of our building, it makes a more clear statement of what we do and how elevators work,” Jones says. A grand opening is planned in May.
