priority consideration to students who will be in grades 9-12 in
the fall of 2020, are in good standing, and have a deep interest in

Advanced Disposal is offering a $2000 scholarship to one graduating
student. The criteria is simple and easy. Applying students must submit
a 300 word essay stating why they want or deserve this scholarship,
three (3) letters of recommendation (none from family members) and
an acceptance letter from the technical school/college/university.

Rensselaer Admissions, in coordination with members of
Rensselaer's Black and Latinx communities, invites
academically talented underrepresented seniors to apply for
Science, Technology, and Arts at Rensselaer (STAR). The STAR
Program allows high school seniors to stay on campus, attend a
mock class, and explore a day in the life of a Rensselaer student.

The Georgia Civitan District Foundation is happy to provide
scholarships to graduating seniors again in 2020. Although
academics and financial need are important and will be reviewed,
the overriding criteria will be the applicant's community service
involvement. Junior Civitan Club members are encouraged to
make application.

The Sheepdog of the Year Scholarship was established in 2016
in memory of Ryan FitzGerald. Ryan was a graduate of Lambert
High School in 2012. He died suddenly on September 24, 2015.
Ryan was lovingly called a “sheepdog” because he had an
attitude of service above self, he was intensely loyal and
protected, supported and encouraged people around him. To
honor Ryan’s legacy, this Sheepdog Connection organization
provides opportunities for young men to build their confidence,
character, and faith and to have a positive, impactful, and
rippling effect on those they meet and love. Applicants must be
graduating high school seniors from Lambert High School and
must be planning to pursue a full-time degree program at an
accredited US college/university. The scholarship is awarded for
$1,000.

Joe Dumphy Memorial Golf Scholarship, Inc. is a non-profit
corporation that was formed in 2015 to honor the memory of Joe
Dumphy. The $5000.00 non-renewable scholarship is awarded to
one student each year. That student must be a senior graduating
from a high school in either Forsyth or Dawson County, play any
level of golf, and plan to attend an accredited U.S. college or
university the following fall.

Cumming Kiwanis Club will proudly present a $1000 scholarship each
year to a well deserving Key Club senior at each of our Key Club High
Schools to help defray their costs of college expenses. The award will
be based on achievements in community service and club leadership
as well as academic accomplishments and financial need.

The Cumming Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America will
award $1,500 scholarships to 5 deserving, college-bound Forsyth
County Public or Private High School seniors. One scholarship is
earmarked for a graduating North Forsyth JROTC Cadet. To be
eligible, high school candidates must be US citizens and the
children, grandchildren or great grandchildren of US Military
veterans.

The top 2 recipients will each receive a $2000 award. Although
academics and financial need are important and will be reviewed,
the overriding criteria will include the applicant’s community
service and involvement as well as their ability to build good
citizenship within the community. All Seniors are encouraged
to apply.

Bold.org is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to high school
students who are recent immigrants.The Recent Immigrant
Scholarship supports high school students who immigrated to the
US within the last decade and who plan to live & work here. High
school students at any grade level are eligible, and all GPAs
will be considered.

The Will Davison Memorial Scholarship was founded in the
memory of William Clay Davison. The WDMSF is open to any
graduating senior attending Forsyth County High School that
meets the following minimum criteria: senior in good standing,
2.8 minimum GPA, 3 completed letters of recommendation,
completed application and packet, well-written essay detailing
evidence of service to the community and intended field of study,
pursuing a degree in a "helping field" or "profession of service to
others", etc.

Tammy Waddell was an educator that devoted her life to
teaching, nurturing and loving the students of Forsyth County. In
an effort to further honor Mrs. Waddell’s commitment to education
and her love for learning, this scholarship has been set up in her
memory to provide assistance to a deserving Forsyth County
Senior planning to attend college and major in education, giving
back to our community through the same commitment modeled
by Mrs. Waddell.

For this years contest, Buzzell, Welsh & Hill invite students to
create a (unique) marketing campaign targeting distracted driving
among teens in the Macon area. Distracted driving claims more
than 3,000 lives each year nationally, and teens are especially at
risk. But everyone—including other young drivers—can play a
part in better educating teens about the dangers. Applicants to
the scholarship should create at minimum a campaign tagline
and description that will speak to young people in and around
Macon. One applicant will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship for
the 2020 fall semester!

UGA is now accepting applications for The Quest for Excellence
Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year! These are $1,000
scholarships awarded to deserving incoming freshmen men
attending UGA Fall Semester 2020. Scholarship recipients are
not required to join Sigma Pi. However, a bid to join Sigma Pi will
be extended to scholarship winners as they will have
demonstrated the same qualities we are looking for in members
of our Fraternity.

Constituting America awards one $4,540 scholarship, The Turner
Maurice Gauntt, Jr. Exemplary Citizen Award, to a graduating senior
who embodies the characteristics of loyalty, honesty, wisdom, service
and sacrifice in the four cornerstone areas of the award: Stellar
Academic Record, Athletic Excellence, Community Service, Student
Body Leadership.
