LCPS – Coca-Cola Scholars Program 10/31/2022 (CLOSED)The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. Applicant must be a current high school or home-schooled students attending a school in the U.S. or selected DoD school who will graduate during the 2022-2023 academic school year. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent residents, refugee, asylees, Cuban-Haitian entrants, or humanitarian parolee. Applicant must expect to receive high school diploma during current academic year. Applicant must be planning to pursue a degree at an accredited US post-secondary institution. Applicant must be able to verify a minimum overall 3.0 GPA in high school coursework.

LCPS – VFW – Voice of Democracy ScholarshipOctober 31Application can be found on Naviance. The national first place winner receives a $35,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college, or vocational/technical school. The first-place winner from each VFW Department (state) wins at least a scholarship of $1,000. The Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12 enrolled in a public, private, or parochial high school or home study program in the United States, its territories and possessions, or dependents of U.S. military or civilian personnel in overseas schools. Although U.S. citizenship is not required, students must be lawful U.S. permanent residents or have applied for permanent residence and intends to become a U.S. citizen at the earliest opportunity allowed by law. Loudoun County, Virginia students should prepare their essay on this year's theme, “Why is the Veteran Important”, and then record themselves reading the essay on a CD or Thumb Drive (TD). Record your original 3-5 minute (+ or – 5 second max.) audio essay on a flash drive, or other electronic device. You must be the sole author of your essay. The recording must be in your own voice and in English. No music, singing, poetry or sound effects are allowed. The body of the essay must not identify you in any way, (including, but not limited to your name, school, city, state, race, or national origin). You will submit the recording, typed essay, and completed entry form. The recording & typed essay should be labeled with your name, to show ownership. Your Voice of Democracy entry package is to be sent to: Loudoun County VFW Post 1177, Attention: Voice of Democracy, 401 Old Waterford Road, Leesburg, VA 20176-2120.

Indiana University Academic ScholarshipsComplete Admission Application by November 1, 2022 for the highest scholarship consideration. IU Academic Scholarships are awarded based on high performance in academic coursework, and test scores are not considered in the awarding of these merit scholarships. The assessment of a student’s academic performance is based on a number of factors, including high school GPA, grades received in coursework required by the Office of Admissions, and rigor and performance in advanced courses (AP, IB, honors, etc.).

LCPS - Amazon Future Engineering Scholarship Program January 20, 2023Applicants must be employment authorized to work in the U.S. (Employment Authorization Document holder, U.S. citizen, or permanent resident). Applicants are high school seniors who have completed or are currently enrolled in a computer science course (applicants may opt to take a brief assessment if they have not taken a formal computer science course). Applicant must be planning to attain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or other computer science related field of study. Applicant must have an online recommendation from a teacher that knows you well. If you have a computer science, robotics or hardware engineering teacher, they would be preferred. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) is required. Transcripts are required. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Full-tuition soaring together Scholarship - Lehigh UNiversity February 1, 2023These scholarships will be awarded to a select number of incoming Lehigh students each year who excel academically and demonstrate their interest and commitment to advancing gender equity. First-year applicants to Lehigh are eligible to apply for the scholarship, beginning with those entering Fall 2023. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is February 1, 2023. Recipients of this scholarship, including those who apply Early Decision, will be notified in late March alongside the release of admissions decisions for Regular Decision applicants to Lehigh.
