Sexual Assault Awareness Month Planning Committee Sign Up
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), a time for us to support survivors, raise awareness, and commit to action to prevent sexual assault and violence in our campus community. Sexual violence is a public health issue that requires community prevention and response.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) has announced the theme for Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2023: “Drawing Connections: Prevention Demands Equity.” The campaign highlights the necessity of building racial equity and respect into sexual violence prevention work at the individual, community, organizational, and institutional levels.

This year the Center for Advocacy, Prevention & Education (CAPE) will be hosting weekly planning meetings for SAAM. It is our priority to center student voices and ideas in the organization and implementation of SAAM on our campus. With this in mind, we are asking interested students and organizations to join us in creating a planning committee for SAAM. We are so excited to work with you to plan SAAM 2023 at OSU!
