Dear Parents and Guardians,
MCPS teachers may utilize a variety of supplemental online digital tools to reinforce the district’s instructional program. In the list below, you will find supplemental tools that may be used by teachers. These tools have been evaluated to be safe for student use and are consistent with federal laws on student data privacy. The below list is NOT exhaustive as the current list contains over 500 approved sites. The complete list plus descriptions of the supplemental tools are provided on the MCPS Data Privacy and Security website, located at:
https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/data-privacy-security/technology.aspx. Links to each supplemental tool’s terms of service and privacy policy, as well as additional information on MCPS’ data privacy practices, are also available on the website.

All of the above tools have been evaluated by MCPS as being appropriate for students aged 13 and over with parental consent as these tools may collect personally identifiable student information, such as first and last name, classroom teacher, or grade level. This information is typically collected by online digital tools to enable use of the tool and to track student progress. The purpose of this form is for parents to approve or decline their consent to your child using these online digital tools.
If you choose not to provide consent for your student to use the above tools, alternative instructional activities will be provided.
If you have multiple students at B-CC, you must fill out a separate form for each student.
