Nominees must be current TUSD K-3 teachers, librarians, literacy specialists, or resource teachers who demonstrate exceptional skill in successfully developing K-3 reading skills employing inspiring, innovative, and creative techniques. Multiple nominees are accepted from TUSD K-3 schools.

Funding for this award provided by Evelyn Jay Fund held at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.
