IDEAS Day Volunteering
IDEAS (Interactive Day of Education and Awareness of Science) Day is a free event put on by Louisiana State University Health Science Shreveport’s Science Matters Interest Group for the kids of our Shreveport community. This event is a day of play, filled with science demonstrations and booths meant to expose kids in the community to the excitement and wonder of science. This year the event will be hosted outdoors at LSU Shreveport and will be open to all elementary school children and their parents.

Volunteers will be needed for various jobs such as set-up, check-in, working booths, clean-up, etc. The demonstrations will be active from 9:00am-3:30pm and volunteers will be needed from 8:00am-5:00pm. Please sign up to volunteer via this form using an email you check regularly. Once the layout of the booths and details are finalized we will send a follow-up email with specific job sign-ups and day-of details (*this may not be until the week of the event).
