Quick Note: We're first trying to identify professors with whom Grad Students are interested in meeting up and having conversations with. Please make suggestions!
Thank you for your interest in the Motivation Mentors Program through the Motivation SIG! This program is highly recommended by SIG graduate students. Each year, we pair up students who are new to the SIG/AERA with fellow graduate students who have been to the conference before.
Purpose
The goal is to ensure everyone has a friendly face and point of contact who can provide guidance and help navigate the conference, and to match people with peers who have similar interests.
Time Commitment
This program does not require a large time commitment. Mentors and mentees are typically in contact before, during, and after the conference, with at least one in-person meeting during the conference. We will provide resources to help facilitate these meetings and we will suggest some events during the conference that might be good meeting points.
Below, please complete the form to 1) list professors with whom you are interested in spending time with during the Conversations with a Motivation Researcher event, and 2) indicate your interest in the peer mentorship program for the 2020 AERA conference in San Francisco. If you have any questions, you can email Patrick Beymer at
beymerpa@msu.edu.
Thank you!
